Rituals & Passages

Rituals & Passages, 2024

“How we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives.”Annie Dillard

Created during and following a 54-day residency in Monte San Martino, Italy, this series traces daily rituals of painting as acts of presence and reflection. Layers of pigment, wax, textile, and mosaic-like tesserae—sometimes stained with coffee from the village—become meditations on time, memory, and material. The work extends beyond the residency, evolving as a continued dialogue between place, ritual, and the passage of days.
